After I installed HotFix 5 for GSS 3.0, I looked under Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Ghost and looked at both binaries of ghost32.exe and ghost64.exe both dated 4-8-2015 4:29 PM and they are both listed as version Product version 12.0.0.8006 Copyright 2015 Symantec Corporation.

It sounds like you are measureing your ghost version by looking in the ghost standard tools folder. But the hotfixes that you are installing are for the Console. Do you have a C:\Program Files (x86)\Altiris\eXpress\Deployment Server folder on your system? If so look in to the ghost folder on that location and confirm that you have the later 8021 build.
I have a disk image (ghost) of the disk need to be restored, and believe the ghost.exe should run from bootable USB with DOS, but I can't seem to create it. My laptop does not have a a cd-rom or floppy drive.I managed to find a Ghost utility that I could load from a bootable USB drive. Unfortunately, when I plug in my NTFS external drive (USB), it is not detected.

The Symantec Norton Ghost Boot CD for Windows from Symantec allows you to create a complete system backup that you can use to restore your computer in the event of a hard drive failure or significant system problem. Ghost allows you to backup to any media type, including CD and DVDs, external hard drives, or Iomega Zip and Jazz disks. You can even schedule incremental backups, allowing you to backup only items that have changed since your last backup. A ghost is an excellent option for backing up and quickly restoring your computer system.
I boot up the 9020 box and successfully connect over the network to the ghost boot image/disc. However, I am not pulling an IP address. When I go to start the multicasting, I am seeing I am getting a 127.0.0.1 address. I'm assuming this is a driver issue.
Is it true I MUST have a driver compatible with Vista 32bit? If that's the case, where am I supposed to get one if Dell or Intel does not have one listed for their site? Does anyone know of a generic Intel driver that works well with ghost? 2ff7e9595c
